PLA (Polylactic Acid) is a naturally biodegradable when exposed to the environment thermoplastic derived from renewable resources such as corn starch, potato, soy, tapioca or sugarcane and this fact makes PLA the most environmentally friendly solution in the domain of 3D printing. It is one of the most popular bioplastics, used for many applications ranging from plastic cups to medical implants.
Bronze Filled PLA
3DFiL bronze filament is a metal-filled PLA-based filament with approximately 5% of bronze powder. Since this material contains metal particles, it has very low shrinkage/warping. A side effect of the added metal is the increased density of the material. Printed products look like they would be made from bronze and are suitable for polishing for even more realistic metal looking part.
